The insane amounts of chaotic energy emanating from Streets of Rogue are off the charts. As the developer puts it, the game can even feel a bit like a top-down Deus Ex game, complete with some fun hacking mechanics. However, not every character has to complete the same repetitive tasks: your choice of a character influences what your objectives will look like.įrom a soldier that has to use brute force, to a super-intelligent gorilla fighting for his species, possibilities are endless in Streets of Rogue. Play however you wantĪs mentioned earlier, the game’s basically a sequence of missions and tasks to complete. This impressive random system allows each playthrough of Streets of Rogue to feel truly unique. These towns spawn multiple NPCs that go about their daily routines, minding their own business, unaware of the chaos that is all around them. Instead, players will be welcomed by an impressive, procedurally-generated city. Streets of Rogue is one such game, mixing the roguelike action of something akin to The Binding of Isaac with the strategy and immersive possibilities of Deus Ex.
